BBQ Buddies

One of the few things I can say I really enjoy about my life is that I love my job. I love what I do, but most of all, I love the people I work with. We all have this abundance of love for our pets and consider them our hairy children.

I was able to spend a wonderful Sunday with my coworkers and their pets. We enjoyed great food and great weather. But what I most enjoyed was meeting new furry faces.

I met Baxter...who is one big furry smile.

Baxter

He may be an old man, but he sure does have a contagious smile.

Vincent was also a favorite. He was pretty aloof, but he made up for his aloofness by giving me lots of posed shots. I didn't even have to ask...I would turn around, and there he was all nicely framed and ready to go. Damn those Border Collies...always doing things perfectly. :-)

Vincent also has a brother named Brock. Brock is super handsome. He kept trying to be my boyfriend. Although, I think in Brock's world, being my boyfriend meant sharing my plate of food with him.

And then there was Jaxon. All goofy, all play, all the time.

There were tiny dogs there, too. Meet Bouncer. All 11 pounds of him.

Bouncer has the same pose for pictures. It's trademarked. Don't try to replicate it.

Gino + Bouncer

We also had ginormous dogs. Meet Cody. All 130lbs of him.

It was great to see so many dogs get together and have fun. Especially when one black Pug gets into someone's beer and then has a little bit too much fun...

"Dude? You Ok?" asks Vincent.

Silly Pug and Questioning Border Collie

And it was super hilarious to see the tiny dogs herd the herding breeds.

The Fun Police however did make an appearance...

Vincent + Gino + Jaxon = Chase!

What I love the best about gatherings like this is getting to eat this:

Kathryn's Fab Fruit

Go ahead...pluck a fruit from your screen. You know you want to. :-D

The Case of The Cone

The day Bruno found a new toy at the school yard started off like any other day. Bruno was chased by The Fun Police for running past the speed limit towards his new found toy:

"The Toy Gods left this for me!
GIMME!"

I was pretty sure no god(s) left this cone for Bruno, but I couldn't convince him otherwise. I had to enlist Ryan for his help in getting the cone away from Bruno.

"MY CONE!"

"GIMME MY CONE!"

Ryan finally gave up. And so, Bruno had his new toy.

"All mine!"

I felt really guilty for letting Bruno have the cone. I am sure whomever left it in the tree didn't want it to be demolished by Bruno. Don't worry, Gino helped me chastise Bruno.

"You're destroying city property!
You'll go to jail where the bail there is
one million Milkbones!!"

Luckily, Bruno showed the cone mercy. After a few minutes of lugging it around, Bruno got really tired and just laid there with the cone.

Silly Bruno. Only he would find the small joys of lugging around a bright orange safety cone. :-)

An Oldie For the Masses

Oy vey!

I am sorry to not be keeping up with the Mafioso adventures.

Ryan has been working non-stop overtime and I think I'm about to put his picture on a milk carton;I haven't seen him in days!

A many of you know, I recently landed a new job. This means my hours have changed. I no longer work the 4/10 shifts and am back to the M-F, 9-5 grind. So in essence, I only have Sundays off due to dog training on Saturdays. Bare with me while I adjust to the new schedule!

I promise to be back in action soon...and if I play my cards right, with a new camera! I am praying that Santa hopefully brings me a SLR this year!

Without further adieu...

The North Folk American River Adventure!

Today's Mission: Conquer the North Folk American River:

"Come on in! The water's just right!"
(Well, at the time it was!)

"No! We need to guard the rocky shores..."

"And the sand basin..."

"We cannot succumb to the waters!
We have a duty to uphold as the Fun Police!"

"Cannot. Be. Tempted. By. The. Water. Must resist!"

"Screw it! Let's have some fun!"

"OOooh! This water is so refreshing!"

"I think I'll go for a little swim..."

"Me too!"

"Ha! Ha! Bruno is so dumb!
He thinks he can breathe underwater!"

"Vinnie's right. You are REALLY dumb."

"I'm not dumb, right Ma?"

"Scroll all the way to see me conquering the river!"

"We are so tired. It's not easy being the Fun Police!"
